The Transport Style Sling for Stand Assist Lifts provides a seated position, divided leg sling, that can be used for simple transfers or transporting the patient longer distances. The Transport Sling is much like a "U" sling in that the bottom is open. Wide straps divide the legs and suspend the patient with back support up to about the shoulder area. The "open bottom" style sling has many uses. Easy access to toileting. Once the patient is transferred to a commode, the sling is easily removed.

What you should know:
Generally, the Transport Sling is not necessary when using the Stand Assist Lift in the home. Most home applications use the Stand-Up function of the Standing Lifts. But, if the patient has minimal weight-bearing capacity, have head and neck control, are cooperative, can sit up on the edge of the bed (with or without assistance), and are able to bend at the hips, knees and ankles, you can use the R134 and R136 transport sling for transferring resident from bed to chair, chair to car or general in-room transport.

Transport Slings are used to transfer fully dependent individuals in a seated position. Transport Slings hook under the patient’s legs and support their torso. Multiple hook up points adjust to body sizes.

• R134: Standard size should work on most patients up to about 270 lbs
• R136: X-Large fits most patients 270 lbs and above
