Woven Gauze Sponges are Sterile and latex-free to eliminate the risk of allergic reactions to latex. This permits safe use of these sponges on a wider range of patients, making treatment easier. These woven sponges are 100% cotton and are ideal as wound dressings or to use for wound packing. An "H fold" design minimizes the number of loose threads for a stronger sponge.

Also, the manufacturing process is strictly controlled to prevent debris from getting in the sponge and the packaging. The packaging is then sealed and the edges are folded over to prevent itself from unraveling. Although the packaging is designed to not unravel on its own easily, the envelopes are designed to be opened easily by the user for quick use.
